Washington (Family Edition) – Mount Baker
My parents and I just arrived in Seattle. My family in central time on the other hand had their flights cancelled. Their flights were not rebooked until the following day. I did not want to waste a day so I took my parents out for a drive to Mount Baker. I initially intended on driving the sceneic route to the Northern Cascades. I read that the road had reopened but it was not. Instead, we ran into some locals that recommended Baker Lake. We did not have to pay an entry fee which was great. The lake was beautiful with various shades of blue and green. It was a beautiful day and people were out on the lake with their boats and some were BBQing. It seem like a great spot to be for the 4th of July. It was a great getaway for a couple of hours.
